Scentra (https://scentra.nanocorp.app) is a digital scent-profile tool. You can reach us at scentra@nanocorp.app.
The short version
Your quiz answers never leave your browser. We measure our advertising with Meta’s Pixel and Conversions API, but only for visitors outside the EU/EEA and the United Kingdom — for everyone else, nothing is sent. You can turn advertising measurement off for your browser with one click (below), and browsers sending the Global Privacy Control signal have it off automatically.
Your quiz answers
The answers to the 12 quiz questions are processed entirely in your browser to generate your report. They are not sent to us and are not stored in any database of ours. If you clear your browser’s site data for this site, they are gone. What does reach us is a record that a quiz was completed — with a random session identifier, and no answers in it.
Advertising measurement (Meta Pixel and Conversions API)
If you visit from outside the EU/EEA and the United Kingdom, we measure the effect of our advertising using Meta’s Pixel (in your browser) and Meta’s Conversions API (on our server). These events involve:
- your IP address and your browser’s user-agent string;
- Meta cookie identifiers:
_fbp(set by the Pixel) and_fbc(set when you arrive from an ad); - a stable random visitor identifier, sent to Meta only in hashed (SHA-256) form;
- your country, also hashed when sent with a server event;
- the address of the page the event happened on;
- and only if you give us an email address (for the report or the newsletter), that address — hashed before it is sent.
We use this only to measure whether our advertising works, and to make the ads people see more relevant. We never send your quiz answers or your report, and we never send your email address in plain text to Meta. A purchase event carries the purchase amount. Meta may link this data to your Meta account under its own terms — see Meta’s Data Policy for how they handle it.
If you visit from the EU, the EEA, or the UK
There is no transfer at all. The Pixel does not load, no advertising cookies are set, and no Conversions API events are sent — including for purchases made from these regions. Your quiz, your report and your purchase work exactly the same; Meta simply hears nothing.
Your choices
- Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information: the link in the site footer turns advertising measurement off for this browser — the Pixel will not load on this or any future visit, and no server-side events (including purchase events) will be sent for you. The choice is stored in a first-party cookie and in your browser’s storage, and stays until you clear it.
- Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends the GPC signal, measurement is off automatically — the same as clicking the link, without clicking anything.
- Any standard tracker blocker works too; the checks run on every page, so a blocked Pixel simply stays blocked.
Purchases
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see your card details. We receive your email address, the product and amount, and the billing country — the country is used only to apply the regional rules described above. Purchase records are kept as long as accounting rules require.
Click matching records
When you click “Unlock” on a report, we store the advertising identity of that click (the signals listed above) for up to 30 days, so that a purchase can be matched back to the ad that produced it. These records are deleted after 30 days.
If you give us your email address — to receive your report or the newsletter — we use it to send you what you asked for. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.
